When your water starts to have an unfamiliar taste and smell, typically of metallic flavor, your pipes are likely beginning to deteriorate and it’s time to consider replacing them entirely. Besides it being an inconvenience, it’s a sure-fire sign that your water pipes are suffering and need to be replaced.

Banging and creaking noises from your water pipes are also a pretty clear indication that your plumbing pipes are beginning to fail. As your pipes age, they will naturally begin to deteriorate, and loud noises are a good way to gauge when it is time to consider repiping.

Has it been difficult trying to find a comfortable temperature when turning on your sink or shower lately? Oftentimes when plumbing pipes are beginning to fail, the water traveling from your pipes to your faucets does not adjust correctly. If you’ve noticed the temperature of your water suddenly change, consider repiping your plumbing system!

If you suspect that your pipes may need replacement, perform a visual inspection and check your plumbing pipes for any rusting or corrosion. If your pipes are visibly rusting or damaged, this is at minimum a sign of age, and at most, a sign that it’s time for repiping!

Your pipes can leak for a number of reasons. If the leak is only in one particular area, the issue is likely just with that particular part or area of your pipe. If your pipes are leaking from many different areas, your pipes are beginning to fail and will need to be repiped as soon as possible.

A massive repiping red flag is discolored water. If the water from your sinks and showers is reddish in hue, this is likely thanks to corrosion. Discolored water can also come out in tints of black, brown, and yellow. No matter the color, water discoloration is usually a direct result of failing pipes and calls for repiping services right away.

Another clear symptom of expired plumbing pipes is inconsistent water pressure. If the water pressure from your faucet or shower begins to decrease over the time in which you are using it, you probably need to repipe your plumbing system.
